Engineering Services

SAFE227, SAFE5112, CO2, Inert Gas Systems are referred to as “Engineered” systems whose engineering calculations are calculated separately for each project.

Each system has a different installation area. Accordingly, the systems should be designed according to the architectural features and structure of the place where they will be installed. The design criteria for all system types are defined separately in both American Design Standards and European Standards.

While the systems are being designed, it is aimed to create the extinguishing concentration that they should create in the place where they will be installed according to the fire classes specified in the design standards.

In this direction, for each location where the system will be installed:

The amount of gas to be discharged into the space (in kg.),

The cylinder (in liters) into which the gas to be discharged into the space will be filled, valve and activators equipment,

The piping system to be installed in the area, starting from the place where the cylinder will be mounted on site,

Discharge nozzles to be attached to the piping system in order to discharge the gas in the cylinder at the desired time and concentration via the valves and activators on it,

Conventional detection system, which is used to operate the fire detection and extinguishing system in the space,

By making product, equipment and component selections, design is made with hydraulic calculation software from the piping system of the system to the contents of the equipment and components that make up the system.

All system designs made on a site-based basis with these methods are presented by projecting through Autocad and other engineering programs.

Hood, In-Panel and CNC In-Bench Extinguishing Systems are called “Pre-Engineered”, that is, systems with pre-completed engineering calculations.

In SAFEGUARD Hood Extinguishing Systems:

6.0 lt. maximum 8 flow volumes in systems,

9.5 lt. maximum 11 flow volumes in systems,

14.5 lt. maximum 16 flow volumes in systems,

18.0 lt. maximum 20 flow volumes in systems,

Hydraulic and design calculations of the systems have been made.

SAFEGUARD systems are discharged through nozzles. There are four different types of nozzles with different flow capacities. Nozzles are positioned as (at least) one for each chimney, filter and cooking equipment.

The flow capacities of the nozzles were determined according to the results of fire tests and extinguishing tests completed by SAFE Technology. These fire tests and extinguishing test conditions are defined in EN 17446, UL 300, NFPA 17A and NFPA 96 standards.

The total amount of GUARDEX "quenching agent" to be discharged by the system depends on the total flow capacity required by the chimney, filter and cooking equipment that the system must protect with simultaneous discharge.

In FIRELORDS DLP and ILP In-Card Extinguishing Systems:

2.0 kg. systems up to a maximum of 2.9 cubic meters,

3.0 kg. systems up to a maximum of 4.3 cubic meters,

4.0 kg. systems up to a maximum of 5.7 cubic meters,

5.0 kg. systems up to a maximum of 7.2 cubic meters,

5.5 kg. systems up to a maximum of 8.0 cubic meters,

Hydraulic and design calculations of HFC227ea direct and indirect systems were made in accordance with EN 15004 design standards, with a design concentration of 7.9% on land to provide extinguishing in electrical panels in indoor volumes.

There are solutions that provide a capacity of up to 15.0 kg in HFC227ea indirect systems for panels and areas with larger internal volume.

In FIRELORDS IHP CNC In-bench Extinguishing Systems:

2.0 kg. systems up to a maximum of 1.3 cubic meters,

4.0 kg. systems up to a maximum of 2.6 cubic meters,

6.0 kg. systems up to a maximum of 3.9 cubic meters,

Hydraulic and design calculations of the systems were made with a design concentration of 41% to provide extinguishing with CO2 extinguishing agent in the CNC benches in the interior spaces.

For CNC machines with larger internal volume, hydraulic calculations and designs up to 10.0 and 15.0 kg have been completed and extinguishing is provided with the required system capacities.

In SAFEMARE DLP and ILP Cabin Extinguishing Systems on Boats:

2.0 kg. systems up to a maximum of 2.8 cubic meters,

3.0 kg. systems up to a maximum of 4.3 cubic meters,

4.0 kg. systems up to a maximum of 5.7 cubic meters,

5.0 kg. systems up to a maximum of 7.0 cubic meters,

5.5 kg. systems up to a maximum of 7.8 cubic meters,

Hydraulic and design calculations of SAFEMARE HFC227ea direct and indirect systems have been made with a design concentration of 8.71% to provide extinguishing in electrical panels in indoor volumes.

Hydraulic calculations and designs up to 12.0 kg have been completed in SAFEMARE HFC227ea indirect systems for panels and areas with larger internal volume, and extinguishing is provided with the required system capacities.
